Legislative Testimony
George Dahlman, Vice President of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Office of Public Policy, spoke at a May 15, 2003 U.S. Senate hearing, where he discussed congressional healthcare appropriations and the Society's unique contributions to blood cancer research.
"During our 55-year history, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been dedicated to finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma," he said at the hearing. "We are pleased to report that impressive progress is being made in the treatment of many blood cancers. Over the last two decades, there have been steady and impressive strides in the treatment of the most common form of childhood leukemia, and the survival rate for that form of leukemia has improved dramatically."
